A word from the Chair

The Comité de gestion de la taxe scolaire de l’île de Montréal is a public organization administered by a board of directors composed of delegates appointed by school service centres and school boards on the Island of Montreal and two members appointed by Quebec’s Minister of Education. The board members are responsible for carrying out the Comité de gestion’s mission by supporting the efforts of Montreal’s public schools to implement measures providing equal opportunity for students in underprivileged areas.

The members of the Comité de gestion are constantly striving to keep operating costs as low as possible. They manage resources efficiently, effectively, and transparently, ensuring that the savings generated can be distributed in providing direct services to students, who remain at the heart of their concerns.
